Karen Simmons
Joyful Slipware Pottery
After a break from pottery for 30 years I have returned and am delighted to be given the opportunity to take part in the farOpen Art Trail.
Working from my garden studio in the heart of the Forest Of Dean with stunning views towards Speech House woods, I create pots made with terracotta clay, slips and coloured glazes which I hope make you smile. I love classical forms, old English slipware, Majolica, Delftware amongst other things, all of which form the background influences in my pots.
I’m still relearning.
