Chris Champness - Fluffystuff
Chris started knitting in her early 30s. She loves the excitement of seeing a piece evolving as well as the pleasure of completing it and seeing it being used or worn. She is totally hooked on yarn! The colours and textures really inspire her, and she will often buy the yarn first and decide on a project much later.
In 2010 she discovered the wonders of knitting with silver wire to make beautiful jewellery and has spent many happy hours experimenting to see what can be created with a combination of knitting needles, crochet hooks and beads. All her pieces are unique as the combinations of beads and their placement can never be accurately replicated.
May 2015 was a momentous time as she was one of the founding members of Made in Ross which opened at the Market House in Ross-on-Wye. This co-operative gives local artists and crafts people the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work all year round. It is an exciting and vibrant location!
She exhibits at Made in Ross and other venues during H Art. She is always on the lookout for new techniques or yarn to try, so hopefully you will always find something different and unusual in her work.
