Drawn by Jennie B
I started oil painting back in 2020 after years of focusing on strengthening my drawing skills. I’ve always been interested in portraiture and love to draw from observation however most of the time I work from photographic references.
My favourite thing about my artwork is that although I try to capture colours realistically, my work is more descriptive than realistic and I feel content when a piece of art I’ve made is in-keeping with my individual style.
My work has been exhibited as part of the farOpen group exhibitions in 2022 & 2023 and I have exhibited as part of the Wales Contemporary 2022 at The Waterfront Gallery in Milford Haven and gallery@oxo in London.
During the summer of 2023, I attended Liverpool to take part as a Wildcard artist on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year. Prior to attending the filming, I focused heavily on landscape scenery and painting on location and from my own photographs taken in the Forest of Dean woods. The episode airs in early 2024.
I am always happy to receive commission requests through social media or by email to the address below.
