James Saunders
I am a coppiceworker/greenwoodworker and I make bespoke items from locally sourced wood from sustainably managed woodlands; I manage these myself using low impact methods. I use traditional techniques and tools to make a range of beautifully handcrafted products.
I coppice hazel and sweet chestnut and cut oak, which I use to make a range of products including fencing and gates, benches, pergolas and rose arches, chairs and many other items. I sell hazel coppice products such as beanpoles, pea sticks and garden canes.
I also use other woods such as cherry, wild damson and plum to make a range of household items including chopping boards, spoons, spatulas and butter spreaders.
