​Rosie Callinan Mosaics and Garden Art

My mosaics are inspired by anything living, organic or mineral. I love working with natural materials such as pebbles, marble and stone, as well as the more traditional glass and porcelain tiles. I also up cycle china from local charity shops and as far as is practical use off cuts or recycled material for bases.
Whilst walking at home or abroad I often return with found materials in my pocket such as pieces of rock, slate or pebbles as well as photographs to inspire new pieces.

Many items I make are designed for display in the garden but are equally happy indoors. They range in size from small wall hangings to large free standing sculptures, and include ceramic dish bird baths, mosaic glass pictures to decorate dull parts of the garden, large hanging mosaic glass baubles and glass dragon flies.

Commissions are welcome -from small pieces such as a unique house nameplate to larger sculptural pieces.

Much of my work is displayed at Made in Ross and includes other media such as textiles.
