Infusions Art - Paula Smith
Forest and nature inspired artist living in the Forest of Dean, with its wealth of colour and natural beauty, it’s no wonder I work on a forever changing canvas, just like the seasons themselves!
Working with an alternative photography process, called Cyanotype, using natural flowers and foliage, nature is captured with the aid of the sun in its finer detail, but will only express what it wants you to see!
My designs are available as wall art, sportswear, bags, pendants, mobile phone cases, and more through my website. You can also purchase my work at our local craft centre, Taurus Crafts, Lydney Park Estate.
If you would like to join me on one of my Cyanotype workshops, to learn this captivating process, then do contact me to express your interest, it’s also full of fun!
Another canvas and passion of mine, is working on my unique little recycled tea bag treasures. Transforming them with various media, inks, watercolour and acrylics, which are also dictated by the tea flavours themselves. A talking point in many a home!
My little treasures also make a ‘hidden’ appearance when working in mixed media and encaustic wax art. Taking in my surroundings and local landmarks, I aspire to capture the landscape, and the wax provides an additional mystical expression to my work.
