Jo Rockley Art
Jo Rockley is an artist and illustrator living and working in The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Her bold style is concerned with creating layered, colourful work, which when captured by the light shows texture and form. Jo studied Illustration and Animation at The University of Central England in Birmingham, where she worked on her love of colour and movement, creating a short animation using card. She has had the privilege of work experience at Aardman Animations and been part of exhibitions as far as London and Birmingham.
Inspired by the natural beauty of her home town and artists such as Anish Kapoor, Tony Cragg and Andy Goldsworthy, Jo works with a scalpel and coloured paper and card to create layered portraits and landscapes. She now can be found exhibiting in local galleries, working on commissions and creating new pieces for up and coming shows.
