The Yard Print Studio
The Yard Print Studio is a community printmaking facility located in Drybrook in The Forest of Dean. Run by Nichola Goff; Forest of Dean based printmaker and tutor.
The studio is home to a Hopkinson & Cope 1874 Albion relief press, letterpress equipment, Hawthorn etching press and screenprinting kit, offering open access for professional printmakers, introductory courses, master classes and peer support mentoring sessions.
Nichola is an experienced printmaker and tutor who has been practicing for over 15 years as well as working in the field of Arts, Health & Wellbeing. Through The Yard Print Studio Nichola develops community print projects, works on collaborations and commissions, provides tutoring, technical support and mentoring to groups and practitioners.
During FarOpen studios 2024 The Yard Print Studio is hosting three printmakers; Nichola Kent, Jess Rayson and Nichola Goff who are celebrating the diverse processes of printmaking, all inspired by nature:
Nichola Goff: Works across a variety of print disciplines using natural earth pigments to explore human connection to place.
Jess Rayson: Specialises in hand-printed linocut textiles, creating unique homewares.
Niki Kent: Uses a playful approach to combining methods and materials, using colour, shape, texture and pattern.
Visitors can meet the makers, have a look around the printmaking studio and browse framed and unframed limited edition hand-made prints, homeware items and cards for sale.
The studio will be open every day except Wednesday 10am-5pm
