Jack Delahoy - Photography

I am a photography student living in Drybrook with my family, but I am hoping to study it at degree level at Birmingham University later this year. I discovered a love of this medium at the age of 14 when I was given a DSLR camera as a gift and had the opportunity to study photography for GCSE.

I enjoy capturing the world around me through my photographs. I spend a lot of time in the city capturing the ordinary and unattractive streets, buildings and alleyways, usually at night, and explore light to create mystery and intrigue.

In contrast, my home in the Forest of Dean provides me with inspiration to explore my love of black and white landscape photography, and I love creating moody images with an emphasis on light and shade.

This is my first-time taking part in Open Studios and showing my work outside of my educational setting. I will be displaying a selection of my photographs alongside Printmaker Sarah Delahoy, Glass Artist Sadie Copus and Ceramic Artist Angela Greaves.
