Sadie Copus
Sadie Copus is a lampwork-glass artist who designs contemporary and unconventional glass jewellery and funky objects that draw inspiration from nature, art and textiles.
Each of her glass beads is a distinctive piece of art, produced by melting glass rods onto metal mandrels, allowing her to mould, drip, and pull the glass into an array of shapes. By layering, melting, and mixing different colours, Sadie is able to create distinctive and stunning effects on every bead, making each one unique.
This will be Sadie’s first year taking part in farOpen studios, and she is looking forward to showing her work with printmaker Sarah Delahoy at her studio in Drybrook.
